Long Wood community Woodland Near Lampeter, West Wales

The Woodland is owned by the community and is managed and run primarily by volunteers.

To date there they have managed to complete a few projects including visitor centre, compost toilet block and sawmill barn.

Norwood HD36 sawmill used for ‘Ty Solar’ eco housing in Pembrokeshire as seen on the BBC’s Countryfile programme

Western Solar, a Pembrokeshire based company, created the first solar farm in Wales. The income from the solar farm has been put towards building affordable eco-housing utilising local grown larch, which had been felled due to Larch Tree Disease. The larch was milled by Western Solar using the Norwood HD36 sawmill. BBC Countyfile iplayer link  Link will only be available until 31st July 2016

Coracle being built

While attending the APF 2016 Forestry show we came across a gentleman making a coracle. He used his LumberMate to cut the wood to create the skeleton for the boat.
